Walmart Reveals Black Friday Deals
Walmart's Black Friday deals will begin two hours earlier this year - at 8 p.m. Thanksgiving night.
Walmart has announced its earliest holiday sales kick-off ever - 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day - and has revealed its Black Friday deals for 2012.
Walmart says its best deals will be on electronics, tablets, TVs, gaming consoles, home appliances and toys, according to a WFMZ/CNN Money report.
The country's largest retailer rolled out its Black Friday deals at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving last year.
Retailers are coming up with fresh ways to entice shoppers this year, as holiday spending is only expected to rise 4.1 percent, according to the National Retail Federation, down from 5.6 percent growth in 2011, according to a Reuters report.
Walmart started offering layaway in mid-September -- a month earlier than last year. Walmart and Target have already published toy catalogs.

So sad...people out of work, loosing homes, but still buying things they don't need because they're on sale...The American Way!

I agree! I was in Game Stop last week, and the promotion video said Game Stop is opening at 12:01 midnight on Black Friday. Why do people allow themselves to be motivated by this crap? I don't get it!?!?

Don't get me started on this; my blog from this time last year was on this very subject.
People - shop locally. There are so many merchants in Easton and other towns who have lovely things.
I know that statement will set off a round of kvetching about the parking in Easton, so if paying a little to shop for locally (or at least American) made items that are unique and lovely really burns you, by all means...please...continue to shop at SprawlMart or wherever.
