Southern Lehigh Senior Needs Your "Likes" for Scholarship Contest
Southern Lehigh senior Casey Anthony is a finalist in a journalism contest and could win a $1,000 scholarship with your help.
Casey Anthony, a senior at Southern Lehigh High School and editor-in-chief of the high school's Spotlight newspaper, is one of 10 finalists in the country for a scholarship for an essay she wrote.
One of the 10 essayists will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Journalism Education Association, decided by a panel picked by the group. Another finalist will receive a $1,000 scholarship based on how many votes the contestant receives for his or her essay on Facebook, according to information provided by Casey's mother, Kathy Anthony.
Casey's essay can be viewed on the MyBrightMountain.com website at
http://www.mybrightmountain.com/jea.aspx.
Readers who would like to help Casey win the scholarship are asked to go on the web site, go to her essay and click on the Facebook like button.
The essay with the most likes by Dec. 15 wins the second scholarship.

Not to take anything away from this child, but what 'should' be done is go to the site and read ALL the essays and vote for the best one. Anything else is a popularity contest.
