Solehi Board Hires New Dentist
The Southern Lehigh School Board Monday night approved the hiring of a new school dentist.
The Southern Lehigh School Board recently gave the members of the Lang family a reason to flash big toothy grins by agreeing to hire Dr. Matt Lang as the new school district dentist at the board's Monday night meeting.
Lang's appointment is effective for the 2012-2013, 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school years at the rate of $10 per exam.
He will be replacing former school dentist, Dr. Anthony Lang, who has retired. Dr. Anthony Lang is Dr. Matt Lang's uncle.

Because some parents do not take their children to see a dentist. This way the children get an exam each year.

If there are those who 'need' dental visits, why keep a dentist on retainer? Just make arrangements to do a 'pay as needed'. And, unless I miss my guess, there is no mandated 'dental exam' for students in SLSD.....there is a physical requirement every so many years, but no dentals. Another waste of taxpayer money, X amount of $$$ to keep a dentist on retainer - 'just in case'.
