Pumpkins and mums convey an air of autumn during the Lower Milford Fall Festival.

Rain was in the forecast for Saturday, Sept. 24, but prayers were answered as the Lower Milford Fall Festival rolled out without a hitch at the township building.

Despite some minor issues with muddy fields and a few stuck vehicles, visitors enjoyed the cloudy day by browsing the various vendors who chose to participate in the event - the ninth year for the festival.

Free carriage rides, a roaming magician, scattered pumpkins and wonderful smells of smoking BBQ and other fried delicacies created an atmosphere true of a fall festival.

Inside the Lower Milford Township building, photographs had been judged and were open for viewing, while some visitors skipped right along to the supervisors chambers, where a silent auction offered a variety of interesting goods up for bids.
