Tax Season Delayed at Southern Lehigh Library Due to "Fiscal Cliff"
Southern Lehigh Public Library announces late arrival of forms, free tax help help begins in February
It's hurry up and wait for 2012 tax filings.
According to an announcement on the Southern Lehigh Public Library Facebook page, forms to file 2012 taxes have been delayed by the federal government. The post states "Due to the last minute negotiations in Congress, the arrival of tax forms has been delayed by the federal government. We do not yet have an expected arrival date, but some forms may already be available online."

Electronic filing was set to begin Jan. 22, but has also been delayed due to the Dec. 31 "fiscal cliff" bill passed by the United States Congress.
Assistant for seniors and income-eligible Southern Lehigh residents will began at the library Feb. 6 and run through April 10 and run Wed. afternoons from 1pm to 4pm on a first-come, first-served basis.
