really, I think you are not correct. Give it a try for a season and see if you change your mind, that is if you make the squad to begin with.

what can you do? Can you lift an ATHLETE in the air, throw, and catch her? Probably not. Cheerleading is FINALLY a recognized sport. and TOO bad you don't know the difference. Keep up with the news. Get out of the dark ages. Sideline cheerleaders CHEER for the sports teams... Competitive cheerleaders COMPETE. Big difference.

For those who do not think cheerleading is a sport is totally wrong. They practice long before the sport season they are cheering for begins. In fact they practice all year long, maybe one month of not doing anything. It all starts with stunt workshops in March, then come tryouts, and all through summer they practice also going to cheer camp which leads into the football season they cheer. If in comp cheer they continue to practice and also some cheer for basketball, then the weekend comps continue untill Nationals, if they make it. After Nationals in Feb they have a few weeks off until it all starts again. Oh some may go to gymnastics in between... so not a sport I think you are wrong. They work their body to the max.
