District Judge Race Gets 4th Candidate
Upper Saucon Township resident Cathleen Hendrzak announced her candidacy for District Judge in District Court 31-3-03.
Another Southern Lehigh resident in entering the race for the soon-to-be open position of district judge in Coopersburg.
Upper Saucon Township resident Cathleen Hendrzak announced her candidacy Tuesday.
Hendrzak joins Bethlehem police officer Scott McEllroy, Coopersburg police Chief Daniel Trexler and Coopersburg Constable Mike Zweifel. All four candidates are cross-filed for the primaries this May.
According to Hendrzak’s press release, she has served the Southern Lehigh community over 10 years. She has been active in Southern Lehigh Little League since 2001, serving as co-chair for the 2011 state 13-year old American Legion championship played in Coopersburg.
She was president of the PTA at Hopewell Elementary School for two years. She also served as a chairperson for the Ryan’s Day Fundraiser to help a local family with their son’s battle with lymphoma.
Hendrzak and her husband have two sons at Southern Lehigh High School.

How does a person announce their candidacy and when is the last possible date to file to run? In the event that others would like to run?

Hi @Stew, Good question! I have a roundup article on the way, but I can tell you March 12 is the last day to turn in petitions.
