Dent, Mackenzie Party Subdued by Presidential Returns
It was clear early on in the evening that Charlie Dent and Ryan Mackenzie would win but the celebration party was dampened by disappointing presidential returns.
The celebration party for Republicans Charlie Dent and Ryan Mackenzie at the Holiday Inn in Fogelsville was packed with supporters who were happy for their candidates but hesitant to celebrate as returns rolled in for the presidential election
Speaking before the election was called for Democrat Barack Obama, Dent said, "No matter what happens tonight, we are going to have to get spending under control.
"If we get this right we can have bright days ahead and I think we can get it right," Dent said. "If we get it wrong then we have a future of debt, doubt and despair - take a good look at Europe, that will be us."

Well, Mr. Dent, you're in congress and authorize spending, so, do something about it. Your party controls the purse strings. The President can't spend a dime.

try working with the President, Mr. Dent, and not continually vote against his good ideas. And part of that will require voting for certain tax increases for the wealthy.

congress is the problem, especially the senate, the 60 minutes story last sunday was mind boggling about how the people we vote to represent us, fail us everyday

I just hope the president takes a hard look at the district map of the us and the red and blue districts. The country was red except for the metropolitan areas. He didn't win by much, so just under half of us, all of us living in those non-metropolitan areas support those crazy republicans! So Mr Glandorf, how about the president try working with us for a change!
