Coopersburg Woman Crashes Into House

Kelly Flanagan told officers her vehicle had been stolen but later admitted to lying, police say.

A Coopersburg woman is charged with falsely reporting theft of a vehicle, failing to report an accident, causing damage property and/or to a vehicle, failure to render aid, and failure to give information after driving into a house.

Upper Saucon Police responding to an accident on Limeport Pike arrived at the address to find an unattended vehicle that had crashed into a house. Upon inspection of the vehicle, police discovered the owner's passport.

Kelly Flanagan, 28, reportedly consumed alcohol and ran a stop sign before driving off the road and into the Limeport Pike residence.

Flanagan's mother told officers her daughter was in an accident and was walking on Chestnut Hill Road, police say.

Flanagan initially claimed her car had been stolen but later admitted she had lied, according to police.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled January 6th.
