Nominated for seven awards, Southern Lehigh High School’s production of Annie took home a 2011 Freddy May 26 for Outstanding Small Ensemble Performance.

Seniors Devon Knox (Miss Hannigan), Tony Zitta (Rooster) and Alyssa Lorin Lowry (Lily) shared the Freddy and took the stage at the State Theatre in Easton to accept the award.

Staying in character, Knox, as Miss Hannigan, thanked everyone involved with the musical production, especially the cast and crew.

Solehi was nominated for seven awards including Outstanding Overall Production, Outstanding Stage Crew, Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role, Outstanding Featured Performance by an Actor, Outstanding Lighting, Outstanding Chorus and Outstanding Small Ensemble Performance.

In 2009, Solehi won the Freddy for Best overall Production of a Musical for West Side Story. For that show, the school also won Freddy's for Outstanding Choreography and Outstanding Chorus.

This was the ninth Freddy Awards for high school musical performances and was broadcast live by WFMZ.
