Unique costumes and floats created a festive mood throughout the crowd as locals observed the Coopersburg Halloween Parade.

The first Coopersburg Halloween Parade is said to have taken place in 1914. In 1966, a formal Coopersburg Halloween Parade Committee formed to assure the tradition would continue for generations to come.

On a beautiful fall day, 97 years later, thousands of locals lined the Main St. to enjoy the annual event.

Local organizations, government candidates, and school groups paraded north on Main St. as they tossed candy, danced, and showed off fancy floats much to the enjoyment of those observing from the curb and sidewalk.

For information on how to get involved with the Coopersburg Halloween Parade Committee, contact the borough office.
